On the 29th May this year it will be 65 Roses Day, in benefit of Cystic Fibrosis Australia which raises much needed funds for research into Cystic Fibrosis and provides support for families dealing with the disease.
On the class of the 31st of may we will donate all proceeds to help with the research of Cystic Fibrosis.

Another Barnz tour has come and gone and has reminded us that another year of training has passed. This year we made the trip to Brisbane to explore more training areas that this amazing country has. As always a video has been produced to document the good times and can be viewed here:

Thank you Barnz for once again coming out here. I think I speak for everyone when I say we all LOVE you. See you next year!

End of class-year BBQ!
November 21, 2008, 12:56:29 AM by robbiethemann
FREE* End of Year BBQ
As of December 2008, classes will be postponed till February 2009
Therefore, to celebrate a year of successful classes, and knowledge passed-on, the Sydney Parkour instructors are inviting all class attendees and their families to join us in an informal (strictly family-friendly) end-of-year Barbecue. The BBQ will be held straight after the last class of the year, i.e. the 30th of November, from 4pm onwards.
This will be a great chance for class attendees to get to know us instructors a little better and have some fun. It will also be a good opportunity to get into contact with others in your local area so you can continue training during the class break period. Ask around, get some phone numbers and meet new people!
Classes are having a break to give our volunteer instructors a well earned rest. In the meantime, you can be sure that there will always be SUM-BOHDY training, somewhere out there, at anytime. Just hop on the Training Sessions and Regular Training Sessions sections of the forums and check recent posts. And if you need to find people in your area, introduce yourself in the Introductions section and let people know where you are situated. You just might find someone training in your area.

What: END OF CLASS YEAR BBQ!
Where: Pyrmont Point Park (at normal class meet point)
When: 30th of November. Class starts 1:45pm and ends at 4:00pm. The BBQ will commence shortly after class and will continue until we run out of food or clientele.
Who: Class attendees and their family welcome.
Cost: *FREE for everyone who attended class, $1 for everyone else.
We hope to see you all there. WOOOHOOO!
Mirrors Edge game launch.
November 10, 2008, 10:58:20 PM by ShaunWood
This Thursday the 13th and Friday the 14th of November EA games will be hosting a launch event at the Customes House at Circular Quay. Myself (Shaun) and Rhys will be performing at the event along side Blake and Chris (ufm) and Alex and Chippa from Melbourne. Over the past 3 weekends the guys have been out around the city promoting the new game Mirrors Edge which is heavily based around Parkour and its movements. Those who attend will be among some of the first to play the game and see what all the hype has been about for first hand. The game looks very promising and is a lot of fun. Everyone is welcome to come and join us down at the event from 12pm - 8pm.
For more information on the game be sure to check out http://mirrorsedge.com.au
Hope to see you all there.
Shaun.

Nat Socs a HUGE success
October 07, 2008, 09:34:12 AM by BoD
Well the Weekend of the National gathering which turned into a whole week of training has been a huge success seeing approximately 80 to 100 people attend from NSW, ACT, SA, VIC, QLD and even a couple from New Zealand!
Much training was done, many lols were had, and many friends made! I hope everyone enjoyed their time and got some good training done.
I would just like to thank all the locals who helped plan, guide, cook, host, spend, and put long hard work into the success of the gathering, without you it just wouldn't be the same.
We hope to see an even better turn out at the National Gathering next year!

Rhys in Croatia
August 07, 2008, 05:52:27 PM by Sammy
Resident Long Man Rhys James has said goodbye to the other boys in Europe and is teaming up with Austrian Traceur Andreas Kalteis (The Partytier). Together they will travel around Croatia on a Party Boat for two weeks, stopping at several cities for performances.

We wish him luck and hope he will be returning with a tan.

Anan, Ish, Shaun & Rhys in Europe
July 16, 2008, 11:53:57 AM by Sammy
Resident Sydney Parkour members Rhys, Shaun & Ish are all embarking on a trip to Europe. They will all arrive in England within the next few weeks but not before making a stop in Bangkok to pick up our much beloved former Thai popstar Anan.
In England they will be attending this year's TRACEur Gathering where they will meet, eat and sleep with some of the best traceurs in the world.
We wish them a safe journey and happy training!

Changes to Classes
July 14, 2008, 10:35:21 PM by Sammy
As of the 27th of July the weekly Parkour classes will run for 2 hours (from 2:00PM to 4:00PM) instead of the 3 hours previously delivered. This also means we will be moving off from our meeting point at 2:00 so ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes early (1:45) to secure your place in the class. We will no longer be accepting latecomers as it is a liability risk for us.
We will continue to deliver the same content, skills and exercises but in a more condensed and efficient form. These changes, as well as others planned for the future, will bring the Sydney class structure in line with the national standard delivered by the Australian Parkour Association.
This is for a number of reasons, foremost it gets darker faster and the bulk of our current instructors are still students.
We are currently undergoing discussions as to how we can provide you with a better class. This is one of the changes that will be implemented to ensure you receive the highest quality parkour class possible.

Sydney Soccer - Australia vs China

On the 22nd Shaun and Rhys will be joining forces for a second time with a group of break dancers and freestyle jugglers to promote the new Sony Bravia Televsion. After the success of the first show they have been asked back for the second performance, this time hosted at ANZ Stadium, which is playing host for the World cup Qualifier between Australia and China.
